Our president, Randy Ziehe, began his career developing, building, and managing apartments in the early to mid 80’s, and our VP of Construction, Heath Wagstaff, spent the better part of a decade as the site manager and superintendent for a highly successful Austin-based apartment developer. So, with the leasing market heating up to unprecedented levels in Austin over the last several years, we decided to return to our roots and resurrect an apartment division within Spicewood Communities. Our first project, Urban North, broke ground at the beginning of 2015 and started vertical construction in August of 2016.
